Small details. A warm welcome.
A thoughtfully refreshed space designed to make

THE STORY BEHIND THE
GUEST BATHROOM
The Guest Bathroom didn’t need a renovation—it simply needed a little personality.
The vanity, countertop, tub and wood-framed mirror were all in good condition, so rather than replacing what already worked, I built the new design around them.
A deep green gave the existing vanity an entirely new presence, while soft neutrals, natural textures, greenery and simple accessories brought warmth into the room.
And the wood-framed mirror I loved from the beginning stayed exactly where it was.
The finished bathroom feels connected to the Guest Bedroom beside it, while still having a personality all its own.
It was a reminder that transforming a room doesn’t always mean starting over.
Sometimes the most beautiful changes begin with seeing the potential in what’s already there.

WHERE I CHOSE TO SPLURGE
Sherwin-Williams—Accessible Beige
Years ago, when my kids were little, I would pick up a gallon of paint for $20-$30 and happily change a room whenever the mood struck. This time, I approached it differently.
I knew I wanted a color and finish I could live with for years, so this was one place I chose to spend a little more for quality and longevity. Accessible Beige was regularly $101.49 per gallon, but I waited for a sale and purchased it for about $60 per gallon.
Creating a home on a budget doesn’t always mean choosing the least expensive option. Sometimes it means knowing where to save, where to splurge, and when to wait for a sale.
