THE STORY BEHIND THE MASTER BEDROOM
The Master Bedroom started with one thing I love—the wallpaper.
Its mix of soft blues, warm neutrals and earthy tones became the inspiration for the entire
room. Rather than competing with such a bold statement wall, I kept the rest of the space
simple and comfortable, pulling those colors into the bedding, furniture and finishing
touches throughout the room.
It was a reminder that a room doesn’t always need a complicated design plan. Sometimes
you can start with the one thing you truly love and simply let the room grow from there.
One bold choice doesn’t require an entire bold room.

Years ago, when my kids were little, I would pick up a gallon of paint for $20-$30 and happily change a room whenever the mood struck. This time, I approached it differently.
